The only organisation specialising in the mental problems of ex-servicemen and women of H.M. Forces and the Merchant Navy. Men and women breaking down through service to their country have either to go into a mental hospital, or to have treatment in their own homes. The society visits ex-servicemen and women in mental hospitals, runs its own convalescent homes, provides cottages, a hostel, a veterans' home and a pensions appeal department.
