The Trust complements the activities of Greenpeace by engaging in educational activities and funding extensive scientific research and investigative projects into world ecology. Some of the research activities funded by the Trust have been increasing the efficiency of solar cells, the regional effects of the chernobyl disaster on health and the environment, the effects of toxic pollution on marine mammals such as whales, seals and dolphins and the link between health and contamination of the environment and the food chain. The Trust also produces educational leaflets for school children.
