1. to provide legal advice and assistance to persons with a right of appeal under immigration legislation (not being persons seeking asylum in the United Kingdom) in connection with their applications to enter or remain in the UK and with appeals arising from such applications, including representation in hearings before the appellate authorities, who, by reason of their inadequate means are unable to obtain such advice and assistance from their own resources. 2. to provide general legal advice and assistance to persons who are subject to UK immigration control and their dependants who by reason of their inadequate means are unable to obtain such advice and assistance from their own resources. 3. the relief in need of persons who are subject to immigration control in the UK and their dependants. 4. to advance the education of the public in the law relating to immigration in the UK.
